Course Description

In this introductory class, the instructor provides an overview and scope of the meetings and events industry pre- and post- Covid-19.

• What is a meeting planner and what do they do?
• What is the history of this multi-million dollar industry?

An overview of the various types of meetings and events will be identified, as well as a discussion of the many options to host a meeting and/or event.

This class is not required to be taken as the first class in the program, but it sets the foundation for the remainder of the Meeting & Events Planning Certificate Program.
