Course Description

The event site, plus food and beverage, are among the most costly parts of any gathering. The challenge is to select sites and menus that satisfy attendees, meet healthy menu standards, and follow “green” sustainability guidelines. Sophisticated attendees may expect a gourmet experience on a “small potatoes” budget, so you’ll learn how to choose menus carefully according to guidelines, not absolutes.  We will also discuss room layout,
audio-visual needs, vendor relations, décor, best practices and social responsibility. What if your location is a virtual room? In our ever-changing, fast-paced work environments, sometimes the most expedient way to get people together is with an online event or meeting. This session will teach you ways to generate participation, create engagement, and build cooperation in this format. And guess what? It’s a format that’s here to stay!
