Course Description

This 20 week (60 hour) online program for English Language Learners with Intermediate to Advanced English Skills is taught by a live instructor with much interaction.  

The ESOL instructor, who is also a trained Medial Interpreter, will help students master specific medical vocabulary, idioms, and improve their ability to communicate in English in a hospital or clinical setting. Students will receive additional assignments to complete at home. This course is great for someone already working in the medical field who needs more confidence in their job, or for someone looking to move up in the field.

Throughout the program students will work with a Career Coach who will provide career readiness, job interviewing, resume building and job search skills. 

This program is FREE for qualified SNAP Recipients.


Intermediate or higher level (SPL 4/5) –English required.

Potential Jobs

 Contextualized Healthcare English Language training will lead to upgrades/increases in pay, possible promotions, or advancement in field.
