Course Description

Planning, organizing, and administrative skills are just as important to the success of supervisors/managers. In this class, we simplify the roadmap you will need to accomplish these goals with agility, adaptability, and flexibility. The following topics will be covered:

  • A review of the practical tools and techniques supervisors use to organize their work
  • Setting SMART goals and objectives
  • Negotiating agreements with managers and the team you lead to select the right goals for productivity and quality
  • Building flexibility into work planning and plans
  • Developing effective back-up and contingency plans
  • Balancing a set schedule with the inevitable ‘fire-fighting’ that is part of every supervisor’s job
