Course Description

Did you know fear of public speaking affects almost 75% of the population? With time and practice, you can learn to better communicate your thoughts by developing improved communication skills. This introductory course will focus on the fundamentals of research, preparation, considering your target audience, defining your purpose, and delivery of various styles of speeches. These will include informative, persuasive, elevator pitches, the art of debating, and special occasion speeches. Improving both your verbal and non-verbal communication skills will boost your confidence to become a more confident, effective and clear communicator. Giving oral presentations can be terrifying. This course will provide a non-judgmental, encouraging, empowering, learning, supportive, and fun environment.
