Course Description

More like an accessible approach to healthy eating, the Mediterranean diet is based on the traditional foods and eating habits of people in the countries neighboring the Mediterranean Sea. The focus is on eating more nutrient-dense, whole foods that you already enjoy eating, rather than restricting food groups or counting calories. While there aren’t strict rules about what you cannot eat, the Mediterranean diet does limit meat, dairy, processed foods and added sugar.

Numerous studies suggest that sticking to the Mediterranean diet can support healthy weight loss, boost metabolism and brain power, promote healthy aging, lower a person's risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, certain cancers, dementia, depression, and other serious health conditions. Come and have a great time with great food, feeling good in mind, spirit, and body!
